Open StepTrail on Apple Watch, complete the welcome screens, allow read access to step count when Apple asks, then choose a journey. Your Health steps will begin moving you along the route.

No. StepTrail is a standalone Apple Watch app and can run without your iPhone nearby. A paired iPhone is still useful for TestFlight installation and Apple Health settings.

First, confirm StepTrail can read step count in Apple Health settings. Then open StepTrail and use Sync Now in Settings. Verify that Apple Health itself shows recent steps. If progress still does not move, restart the watch and contact us before resetting or reinstalling.

StepTrail checks for new steps when you open the app and attempts background updates when watchOS allows them. Opening the app triggers a catch-up sync, and Settings shows the last successful sync time.

Do not reset, abandon the journey, or reinstall StepTrail. Take a screenshot of the StepTrail progress screen and Settings sync status, then send your watch model, watchOS version, journey, displayed mileage, and Apple Health step total to support.

No. Step count is processed on your Apple device. StepTrail does not operate an external user database and does not sell, transmit, or use health data for advertising.

The beta focuses on one active journey at a time. You can abandon the current journey from Settings, but that permanently resets its progress. Contact support first if you are changing journeys because of a tracking problem.

Use TestFlight’s Send Beta Feedback option whenever possible. Include what you tapped, what you expected, what happened, your Apple Watch model, and watchOS version. Screenshots are extremely helpful.
